PREMIUM FITNESS TRAINING

Son of a 20 year Marine, leadership, mental discipline and physical fitness was noticeably apparent in DJ at a very young age. Throughout his life he has always been known to be a great motivator and someone who will make you stronger both mentally and physically. These traits have proven to be an asset and have been awarded and recognized throughout his education, career and extracurricular activities.

 

DJ played varsity basketball 3 years and won dunk contests both in high school and in his first year in college.

DJ also participated in Varsity track and field and ran in the CIF Southern Section finals for 200m, 400m, 400m relay and 100m relay. Although, DJ was eligible to graduate high school his junior year he decided to stay one more year in order toparticipate in football for the first time. With his speed from the track, agility from the court and passion for training and weight lifting from the weight room this sport would prove to a perfect fit for him. As one of the team captains, not only did DJ help lead the team to the playoffs but he was also selected numerous times as Player of the Game by the opposing team coaches and captains. At season end he was voted and recognized as Defensive Player of the Year and selected as First Team Defensive Back for the Ivy League All-Star game. DJ was later recruited by the LA Avengers (AFL) and Calgary Stampede (CFL) special teams, however, decided to put his education first and pursue his degree in Finance  and Business Management.

MELISSA SINGLETON,

Melissa has been dancing for 16 years studying with various choreographers and trained in styles such as Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz Funk, and Hip-Hop. She was a varsity songleader for three years at Moreno Valley High School and was captain her senior year. Melissa attended California State University of Long Beach where she danced with PAC Modern dance team and grew her love for hip hop along with her enthusiasm with the hip hop dance community. She later joined Culture Shock Los Angeles where she trained in Waacking, House, Locking and Popping and has had the opportunity to dance with other groups such as Triple G, Freedom Junkies, and Movement Project. Melissa has been a song/pom instructor for the United Spirit Association (U.S.A.) for 3 years and recently contributed to choreographing for their program development. She also co-founded and choreographed for an all female dance crew in Seattle, Washington, called Xclusive Ladies (XL). Melissa is very passionate about dance and teaching and wants to share her passion with her students.
